Timbercroft awarded Flagship status for inclusion
We at Maritime are very proud of all staff at Timbercroft Primary School, who have gone above and beyond to develop excellent practice on inclusion and the sharing of that practice within our partner schools.
Assessors from IQM gathered data and evidence to support the review of the school as a Centre of Excellence and were particularly impressed by Amy Massey, Deputy Headteacher/ Inclusion Manager who ‘provided excellent leadership and support to develop consistency across the schools in terms of SEND policy and strategies’.
Several features of the school were noted as exceptional: ‘the ethos of including, listening to, challenging and supporting all children; the excellent behaviour, self-confidence and positive attitudes of pupils; the motivating and challenging curriculum; the excellent teamwork and inclusive practice of teaching and support staff; the excellent partnership work with parents; the exceptional support for children with SEND; the wonderful learning environment in all classrooms, including superb displays and the overall positive, happy, supportive, family atmosphere of the school’.
We are absolutely delighted that the assessors at IQM have recommended Timbercroft for Flagship status and would like congratulate all staff for continually striving to inspire children and staff alike.
